The Associates of Brand Library will present a silent auction of art pieces and panel discussion with six local artists from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the library, 1601 W. Mountain St., Glendale. Gerald Brommer, Katherine Chang Liu, Jim Morphesis, La Monte Westmoreland, Kim Abeles and Franklyn Liegal will be the artists contributing work and discussing current art trends, problems, economics in the arts and survival in the art world. Pictured is “The Essence of Place” by Brommer. The auction will raise funds for arts events presented by the Associates of Brand Library at the library.
