Ralphs and Glendale-based Nestlé Purina have teamed up to launch the second “Tales for the Pet Lover’s Heart” campaign celebrating the unique bond between people and their pets, while raising funds for animal welfare organizations nationwide.
Together, Purina and Ralphs grocery stores will donate $7,500 to local animal welfare organizations in 2009 and recognize six exceptional pet lovers’ tales via a national television special this fall.
The campaign invites pet lovers to share their favorite pet tales with Purina and Ralphs at www.TalesForThe PetLoversHeart.com. For each story shared, Purina and Ralphs will make an additional donation to animal welfare organizations. A total of $150,000 will be donated nationwide to pet organizations in communities served by the Kroger family of stores.
