Meetings on winter storm prep

Officials from several government agencies will host the first of two community meetings Saturday on steps being taken to prepare for possible mud and debris flows this winter in the scorched hills above north Glendale and La Crescenta.

The first meeting will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Center for Spiritual Living, 4845 Dunsmore Ave. The second meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 28, also at the center.
