Glendale college Baseball Camp
The Glendale Community College baseball coaching staff will instruct children and adults on the proper mechanics in batting, fielding, pitching and catching.
Sessions can be individual or in groups up to four for ages 8 and above. The camp consists of three 90-minute sessions per week.

Falcon Golf Classic to take place
The seventh Annual Falcon Golf Classic will be held Oct. 10 at Scholl Canyon Golf Course, 3800 E. Glenoaks Blvd., Glendale.
The cost is $175 per person and includes green fees and cart, raffle tickets, range balls, barbecue lunch and more.
Proceeds support the Crescenta Valley High School’s boys’ basketball program. Sponsorship packages are available.

Running classes set to be offered
California State University Los Angeles track and field Coach Gretchen Corrales will teach a youth running basic class at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale.
The 45-minute sessions will begin at 4 p.m. Fridays through Nov. 6.
Sessions will focus on the basics of running like a professional athlete and will include stretching, breathing technique, running with obstacles and nutrition.

Glendale Friendship Games are set
The Homenetmen Glendale Ararat chapter will host the fourth annual Glendale Friendship Games for the Glendale and surrounding communities. The games will take place Oct. 24-25 at various locations around Glendale and are designed to promote unity in a competitive manner.
Volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, chess and soccer will be the featured sports.

Flintridge Volleyball Club tryouts set
The Flintridge Volleyball Club will hold various tryouts at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy’s gymnasium, 440 St. Katherine Drive, La Cañada Flintridge.
The camp is geared for those 10-18.

?Ages 13-14, 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11.
?Age 15, 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 8.
