FREIGHT ELEVATORS

The council will consider a $356,000 contract with Mitsubishi Electric and Electronics USA Inc. to furnish labor, equipment and materials for the installation for the upgrade and modernization of the freight elevators at Grayson Power Plant.

Officials say upgrades are necessary due to worn parts and equipment, which cause unreliable elevators.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council will likely approve the contract as they approved opening bids for the project in August.

BLOOMBERG FINANCE

The council will consider approving an additional $100,000 to extend the city’s current contract to provide an additional five years of subscription services with Bloomberg Finance, LP.

Bloomberg provides real-time online financial data services, which the city treasurer uses to access investment news and information and communicate with brokers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The council is expected to approve the contract.
