Basketball clinics set to take place

The Full Force Basketball Club, piloted by Mike Gayle and Ib Belou, will conduct clinics that will begin Sunday at Hoover High School, 651 Glenwood Road, Glendale.

The clinics, which will last six weeks, are geared for ages 5 and up.

Roller skating team set to perform

The In-Sync roller skating team will perform with other teams from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Dominic’s Moonlight Rollerway, 5110 San Fernando Road, Glendale.

The Senior and Junior In-Sync teams will perform, as well as individual and pair skaters. Guests may skate in between performances.

Glendale Panthers set to hold tryouts

The Glendale YMCA Panthers will conduct tryouts for the upcoming season.

The tryouts for boys and girls will be held Sunday at the Glendale YMCA, 140 N. Louise St., Glendale. The tryouts are geared for boys ages 7-13 and girls ages 8-14.

Age levels are determined by one’s age on Sept. 1, 2009. Parents must attend and sign-up their children at the session.

Tryouts for boys 7-8 and all girls is from noon to 12:45 p.m.; boys 9-10 from 1 to 1:45 p.m.; boys 11-12 from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and boys 13 from 3 to 3:45 p.m.

Practices will be held in November and December. The season, which will begin in January and conclude March 21, will feature games around Glendale and the San Fernando Valley.

Christmas tree sale to be held

The 18th annual St. Francis High School Booster Club Christmas Tree Sale will take place.

Orders and payments must be made by 2 p.m. Nov. 30.

Checks should be made payable to St. Francis High School Booster Club, 200 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada Flintridge, CA, 91011.

Pick-up hours are 7 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 5.

Annual CV Baseball Camp to be held

The 12th annual Crescenta Valley Baseball Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 28-29 at Stengel Field.

The event will be spearheaded by Crescenta Valley High baseball Coach Phil Torres and his coaching staff.

The event is geared for those in grades three through eight. The cost is $75 per person.
