A week before the long-standing rivalry football game between Hoover and Glendale high schools, the ‘H’ on the hillside above Brand Boulevard appears to have been vandalized.
Several people called in this morning and yesterday to report what appeared to be a prank on the white Hoover High School emblem, but upon closer inspection, it seems as if the vandals were unable to complete the transformation from an ‘H’ to a ‘G’.
The rivalry between the schools goes back decades and there have been numerous pranks pulled on both campuses over the years. But several callers yesterday, even self-described Hoover High fans, said the latest prank was the grandest attempted feat yet.
