Mailbag: Caruso puts one past the council again

He continually votes against what is right for his constituents and also has no concern for the environment.

Drier, it’s time for you to do a reality check and listen to the people who voted you in, or it won’t happen again.

Reports hardly paint a flattering portrait

So I pick up the Los Angeles Times Nov. 10 and on the front page of the California section is the headline, “Drug data won’t help Glendale improve its image.”

It seems that Glendale commissioned a marketing firm to help burnish the city’s image and perhaps attract new business.

The only problem was, a report showed that the city has one of the most advanced drug problems in Los Angeles County, according to the article.

While the data were supposedly culled from a 2005 Quality of Life report, police officials say that the problem is every bit as bad, or worse, today.

Whoops. Throw in our much celebrated bottom-feeder ranking for automobile safety, and I think the city’s new marketing slogan sort of bakes itself: Glendale is No. 2.
