There are times of the day when I do not feel safe driving by the intersection in front of the Minx, but then, it is getting unsafe to drive anywhere in Glendale. And God help you if you are a pedestrian.

It’s been said that the best teachers create a fusion of their heads and their hearts in the classroom. From my experience, outstanding teachers demonstrate to their students that they care with genuine concern and have a passion for creating the conditions for their students’ success.
To me, student success is about engendering the skills of curiosity and problem solving. But if today’s students are unafraid to explore and carry with them problem-solving skills, they will adapt and thrive.
Educators like Howard Gardner at Harvard and Mike Rose at UCLA tell us plenty about the variability in the strengths, abilities and capacities of individual students and the commonalities of teaching success that can help these young minds reach their full potential.
