Last year’s inaugural event raised funds for the foundation through a silent auction of prizes and sports memorabilia and ticket sales for the game, which saw the teachers pull out a 57-53 win.

Hoover High alumni game
The Hoover High baseball team will conduct its alumni game at 3:15 p.m. March 20 at the school, 651 Glenwood Road, Glendale.
Hoover first-year Coach Joe Cotti is seeking former Hoover players to participate in the event and donations for renovations to be done on the field.

Figueras to hold football academy
Former Glendale High and University of Oregon football player Jaiya Figueras will conduct the West Coast Football Academy from 12:30-2 p.m. Saturdays at the Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane, Glendale.
The cost is $25 per session and the event will focus on basic fundamentals, evaluations and more.

Basketball clinic being conducted
Full Force Basketball Academy will hold five-week youth basketball clinics Mondays and Thursdays at the Glendale YWCA, 735 E. Lexington Drive, Glendale.
The elite basketball training and conditioning clinic will run from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Mondays. The shooting clinic will be conducted 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays.
The clinics are geared for boys and girls of all ages.
