Friedman to talk about city issues

Councilwoman Laura Friedman is scheduled to appear live Thursday on “The Larry Zarian Show” to discuss a number of city issues, including the U.S. census and the projected budget shortfall at City Hall.

Meetings have already begun on how to bridge a multimillion-dollar budget gap for the upcoming fiscal year, even as the city maintains a hard hiring freeze to help save money.

Drug use among Crescenta Valley teens has also become a rising trend that has drawn the focus of law enforcement officials. Friedman is expected to discuss how the Glendale Police Department is working with other agencies to address the issue.

The race for the 43rd Assembly District is planned for discussion.

The show airs at 7 p.m. on Channel 280. The viewer call-in number is (818) 547-3668.
