Low-cost counseling for adults available

A Peer Counseling for Adults program is being offered at VMHCare, 1540 E. Colorado St., Glendale.

Volunteer counselors are available to help people cope with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, losses and normal life issues.

Individual, couples and group counseling sessions are available to adults 25 years and older, according to an announcement from the agency. The fee is $20, but no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Services are offered in English, Spanish and Armenian.

A creative writing group is also available for a minimal fee.

Ramani to appear on Agajanian’s show

Sunder Ramani, the Republican candidate in the special June runoff election for the 43rd Assembly District, is scheduled to appear today on ABCTV LIVE with Vrej Agajanian.

Ramani will likely discuss his candidacy and the issues facing Sacramento heading into the June, and then November, election to fill the Assembly seat.

The show airs between 9 and 10 p.m. on Charter Cable Channel 284.
