MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals On Wheels Drivers provide home-delivered meals for the elderly and home-bound in Glendale.

Meals are picked up at The Salvation Army at 10:30 a.m. and then delivered between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Most routes only take one hour. The program runs Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and use their own vehicles. For more information, call Rick White, volunteer coordinator at the Salvation Army (818) 246-5586.

GLENDALE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Glendale Memorial Hospital is accepting new volunteers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteer opportunities include the gift shop, emergency department, Messenger office and patient care areas. Volunteers receive free meals and parking. GLENDALE PUBLIC LIBRARY

Friends of the Glendale Public Library are seeking volunteers for the new Book Store at 222 E. Harvard St., Glendale. Training is provided. For more information, call (818) 546-2538 to leave your name and phone number.

DOCTORS’ HOUSE MUSEUM

The Glendale Historical Society is seeking volunteer docents at the Doctors’ House Museum, at 1601 W. Mountain Ave., Glendale. Volunteer docents sign up to give tours through the Victorian house for two hours once a month. For more information, call (818) 242-4290.
