May 17, 2010|By Edna Karinski

College View School’s giraffe logo T-shirts can be purchased at the silent auction and dinner “Viva Fiesta!” from 5 to 8 p.m. May 21. Everyone is invited. Admission is free.

Taco dinners can be purchased and there will be a churro cart sponsored by the Altrusa Club of Glendale. Among the Mariachi music, cake walks, and piñatas, the silent auction features items ranging from fabulous to fun.

Hosted by the College View Foundation and staff, proceeds benefit the playground project. “What will you be when you grow up?” The answer will be easy for Verdugo Woodlands’ sixth-graders after parents and community share job experiences at Career Day on May 21. Featured speaker is Glendale Council Member Ara Najarian. “Leadership Glendale” participants assisted College View School in the painting, cleaning and set-up of a Therapy Gym. The PTA provided refreshments to keep volunteers hydrated and happy while the room was transformed.
