GLENDALE — Police are investigating a domestic shooting that left one man dead and one injured Sunday afternoon, police said.

Shortly before 1 p.m., two roommates in the 600 block of Arden Avenue got into an altercation in their home and a shooting occurred, said Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

Police were on scene within five minutes, Lorenz said. One of the men was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound in the arm.

The negotiation and SWAT teams were then brought in and tried to make contact with the suspected shooter, he said. When they could not, they put the 600 block on lockdown and evacuated the surrounding homes.

The SWAT team entered the home and found the suspected shooter dead from a gunshot wound, Lorenz said. Both shootings are under investigation. Names of both men were not released.
