will represent the Falcons one last time when she takes part in the annual East-West All-Star Game at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham High.
Sovereign was a standout No. 3 hitter and shortstop for the Falcons during a season in which they took second place in the Pacific League.
Joining Sovereign on the East squad will be La Crescenta resident Rebecca Gieske, who played for Village Christian, which recently wrapped up a season in which it advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division V semifinals.
Also on the East team will be Burbank's Kassy Uchida and Burroughs' Jenna Serranzana.
LOCALS QUALIFY IN GOLF TOURNEY
The local qualifier for the 42nd Big I National Championship was held Tuesday at Oakmont Country Club. The open event, hosted by the Insurance Agents and Brokers of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena, is designed for golfers that will not reach 19 by July 30.

St. Francis High graduate Drake Muir shot a 79 and also qualified.

The state qualifier will be held July 12-13 in Santa Cruz.
The five low boys and two low girls will be invited to compete in the national championship, which will be held July 27-30 in Chesterfield, N.J.
