Rockin’ for the Arts will be at 5:30 p.m. at Mark Keppel Elementary School, 730 Glenwood Road, Glendale. The fundraiser is in partnership with the Burbank Music Academy, and proceeds benefit Keppel’s Integrated Arts program. Admission is $6. Call (818) 244-2113.

Verdugo Hills Hospital summer film series will show “The Karate Kid” at 10 a.m. at United Artists La Cañada 8 Theatres, 1919 Verdugo Blvd., La Cañada.
