Two burglary suspects eluded police Wednesday after witnesses allegedly saw them jumping out of the window of a north Glendale home, officials said.

A resident noticed a teenage boy and girl acting suspiciously about 2:30 p.m. and lurking around his neighbor's home in the 1400 block of Raymond Avenue, Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

Moments later, the resident saw the pair jump out his neighbor's bathroom window and run away, he said. The pair stole jewelry from the home, Lorenz added.

Police set up a perimeter in the neighborhood to keep the suspects from escaping, Lorenz said, using K-9 teams and a helicopter to assist in the search.

Witnesses also reported seeing three men in two suspicious vehicles — a Beige Pontiac Grand Prix and 1980s or late 1990s white pickup truck — in the area during the burglary, Lorenz said.

The suspects weren't found, he added

The girl and boy suspects were described as being between 12 and 15 years old.

Anyone with details about Wednesday's burglary may call the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-4840, or the Los Angeles Regional Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
