The low 60 shooters and ties after 36 holes will move on to the final round. The champion will also receive one exemption into the 2011 Bob Hope Classic. The top two finishers will receive exemptions into the 2010 Soboba Classic Nationwide Tour event. The top 30 finishers will receive exemptions into the 2010 California State Open, which will be held in November in Beaumont.

CANADA IN WORLD CUP
The United States Baseball Women's National Team, featuring former Glendale High softball standout Jenny Dalton-Hill, earned a convincing 10-1 victory against Canada on Wednesday at the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) World Cup in Venezuela.
Dalton-Hill drove in a run in the first inning with a groundout to give the United States a 2-0 lead. The former University of Arizona softball star went hitless in four plate appearances. She recorded eight putouts at first base.
The United States, which improved to 4-1 in the tournament, will next play Venezuela at 4:30 p.m. today and Australia at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

IN JUNIOR TOURNEY
Glendale resident Brandon Ahn took fifth at the 11th annual U.S. Kids Golf World Championship and Teen Championship in Pinehurst, N.C.
Competing in the boys' 11 Division, Ahn finished with a three-round score of 212 and took fifth in a playoff. Eddy Lai of San Jose won the tournament with a 205, followed by Issei Tanabe of Huntington Beach (207), Sully Zagerman of Windermere, Fla. (208) and Ashwin Arasu of Ann Arbor, Mich. (212).
WALTON TO PLAY IN
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy volleyball player Alyssa Walton will soon be back in the gym preparing for her senior season with the Tologs, but not before making the most of the last couple weeks of summer.
Along with her partner Amber Hawthorne, Walton is set to compete in the Girls' 19-and-under bracket of the Huntington Beach at Beach Blvd. Tournament on Saturday in the hopes of qualifying for the California Cup state beach volleyball championships, beginning on Sept. 4, for the second year in a row.
