GLENDALE — A 25-year-old Glendale man accused of stealing a collection jar for the funeral of a 6-year-old boy who died last week from leukemia posted his bail late Wednesday night, officials said.
Arthur Madoyan, who was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail, had been scheduled to be arraigned today, but that date was pushed to Sept. 28 in Los Angeles County Superior Court in Glendale, police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
Madoyan was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of burglary after allegedly stealing a donation jar Sunday afternoon from the El Mexicano Meat Market at 836 S. Glendale Ave. He told police that he spent the money on food and cigarettes, according to police reports.
