Robert and Sharon Thompson of La Crescenta celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club.
The hosts were Marceil Coor-Pender, a longtime friend, and Robert's brother Stan Thompson and his fiancée, Eileen Eberhardt.
A luncheon with a special menu was served in the Garden Room of the Country Club.
Rob and Sharon were childhood sweethearts having met in the eighth grade at Wilson Junior High School in Glendale. The couple were married in 1960. They have two daughters, Joyce and Robin, and four grandsons.
They have resided in La Crescenta for the last 47 years. Guests included their daughter Joyce Nalezny, her husband ,Franz IV, and grandsons Franz V and Josef from Coto De Caza. Sharon's sisters attending were Peggy Eck and Barbara St. John from the state of Washington, Florence Hansen and husband Jerry from Anaheim, and Glenda Burt with husband Chris and daughter Julie from Altadena.
