Allan Farson, whose father started Glendale-based Church Press, died Aug. 29. He was 90.
Born in Chicago on Nov. 13, 1919, Farson lived there for nine years before his family migrated to Glendale. His father, Bernard Farson, opened Church Press, a local printing business dedicated to Christian publications.
Allan Farson moved to Mexico in the mid-1940s, raised a family there and ran a subsidiary printing business in Cuernavaca, Mexico. In the late 1960s, he and his family returned to Glendale, and rejoined his father and brother in running Church Press.
