"Together Everyone Achieves More" is the PTA theme selected this year by President Lourdes Wang. The Membership Committee invites everyone to join.
The Reflections Program kicks off with a workshop from 1:25 to 3 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium. The theme this year is "Together We Can."
VALLEY VIEW ELEMENTARY
The PTA meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium.
The gift-wrap fundraiser begins with an assembly for all students on Friday. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year.
Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 25 to 29. PTA and the Korean Parent Club are sponsoring a week packed with activities to keep students drug free.
LA CRESCENTA ELEMENTARY
PTA hosts Family Game Night in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday. There will be games, music, food for sale and competitions. Admission is free, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
PTA and Foundation meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 in the cafeteria. Free child care is provided.
LINCOLN ELEMENTARY
The PTA meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium.
Family Night and Egg Drop begins at 4:30 p.m. Friday on the playground. Students will construct containers designed to keep an egg from breaking following a 60-foot drop from the top of a fire truck ladder. Come join the fun.
Foundation meets at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 in the library.
CRESCENTA VALLEY HIGH
Prom Plus is asking for community support by adopting a duck for the annual Kiwanis Duck Race, which will be held on Oct. 23.
Adopting online is the easiest way to participate. Buy one duck for $5 or take advantage of the Quack Pack adoptions by buying five ducks for $25. Every participant in the Quack Pack program will be entered into a special drawing to receive a weekend in Las Vegas.
