December starts with the annual potluck and chorus meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 for amazing food and the sweet sounds of Franklin's first-, second-, and third-graders.
The Franklin Yardsalepalooza will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 11. Stop, shop and grab some homemade tamales.

The PTA will take pictures of all students Thursday and, as a holiday gift, give one to each student. Jefferson's PTA Book Fair runs Dec. 6 to 13 in the auditorium. Parents are welcome to buy books before and after school each day.
The PTA Executive Board Meeting is at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 9 in the school conference room. The PTA meeting is 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the auditorium. Jefferson will hold a student assembly Sing-A-Long on Dec. 22 in the auditorium.

Mark Keppel Elementary
Keppel's Toy and Food drive begins today and runsthrough Dec. 10. The Keppel drill team will perform in the Montrose Christmas Parade, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday. Students from Keppel, Toll and Hoover will perform a choral concert from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Hoover auditorium. To volunteer at Keppel, contact the school at (818) 244-2113.
