Check out decorations at home tour

If you are curious about how some of your neighbors are decking their halls this holiday season, Crescenta Valley High School Prom Plus invites you to the annual Holiday Home Tour from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday. Participants will tour three featured homes, including the home of high school Principal Michele Doll, as well as the historic firehouse at St. Luke's Church. They will all be festively decorated and each location will feature a variety of activities and entertainment.

Dunsmore Elementary

The Hollydays Boutique kicks off Friday in the auditorium. Items donated and created by the school community are available for purchase. Hours for class shopping will be posted on the school website,

Choral Director Mrs. Abbott, along with piano accompanist Mrs. Callister, will be leading the choral group in the annual holiday singing event at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium.


La Crescenta Elementary

December is the month for holiday celebrating. The Orchestra performs at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14 in the cafeteria. Choral performances will be on Dec. 16. Details will be in the Thursday folders.

Valley View Elementary

The winter choral performance "I Believe" is on Tuesday. There will be daytime assemblies for students and a 7 p.m. parent performance in the auditorium.

The instrumental music program presents the Winter Concert on Dec. 15 during daytime assemblies in the auditorium.

The Reward Assembly and Spirit Day takes place at 8:25 a.m. Dec. 17 on the lower playground.

Lincoln Elementary

Lincoln Elementary School is joining Local Fire Station No. 28 in collecting toys for "Spark of Love" Toy Drive now through Dec. 17. Drop off a new, unwrapped toy to the collection bin at the Altura gate or the school office in the specially marked box.

PTA meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium.

The Foundation Raffle begins on Friday and runs through Dec. 17. Tickets are a $1 and prizes include an iPad and tickets to Disneyland. To purchase tickets by credit card, contact

Come and meet Santa at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 in the auditorium. Shop at the Holiday Boutique with items ranging from 25 cents to $12. A bake sale sponsored by the sixth-grade class will top things off.
