Venture Crew Scouts have car show
The Boy Scout Venture Crew will present its free “Treaty For Your Sweetie” Valentine’s Car Show from noon to 4 p.m. today at Fosters Freeze, 201 S. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank.
On display will be antiques, classics or special interests, which may include new muscle cars of today, such as the Dodge Challenger or Chevy Camaro, said organizer Jim Etter. There is no admission or entry fee for vehicles or guests at the meet.
Music from the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s will be playing in the background as a mystery agent will roam passing out certificates for free Fosters dessert items, such as cones, shakes and sundaes, to those spotted wearing outfits depicting those generations.
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Fosters will also be offering a “Treaty For You Sweaty” — buy any dessert item (cone, shake, sundae) and get another like item for your sweetheart for half price.
For more information, call Etter at (818) 845-7886 or e-mail JimEtter@SBCglobal.Net.
