Photos sought for remembrance day
Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries will observe Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, on May 1, by displaying photographs of Holocaust memorials around the world as seen through the eyes of Glendale and Burbank residents and other community members.
The display will also feature stories on the impact these visits had on their lives, and will follow formal observances from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Mount Sinai Simi Valley, 6150 Mount Sinai Drive, Simi Valley.
The community is invited submit mounted, unframed photographs, preferably 8” x 10” or 10” x 14” of Holocaust memorials they have visited. Photos and related brief narratives can be mailed to or dropped off at either Mount Sinai Simi Valley or Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068 by April 18.
