Pet of the week: Beau

April 05, 2011

Beau is a 1-year-old, neutered male black American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is affectionate and loves attention. When visitors walk by, this very energetic dog loves to show how high he can jump. Still in his puppy stage, Beau needs a daily workout schedule and would make an ideal jogging companion and a great complement to someone with an active lifestyle. Like most young dogs, Beau would benefit from additional training. For an introduction to this bundle of energy, contact the Burbank Animal Shelter and inquire about ID#A037690. When considering adoption, bring the whole family (including any other dogs) for a meet-and-greet.

The shelter is at 1150 N. Victory Place, Burbank, phone (818) 238-3340. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Closed major holidays. To view Beau or to inquire about other available pets, visit www.thevbas.org. Adoption fees are dogs, $104; cats, $78; and bunnies, $30 (prices include spay or neuter, vaccinations and microchip.)
