Destination Science Camps will also be offered during the summer. There will be three one-week camps at Glendale College main campus and two one-week camps at the Montrose Program Center. Tuition is $299 for one week, full day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and $209 for half-day, 9 a.m. to noon. Extended care is also offered for an additional fee.

LA CRESCENTA ELEMENTARY
La Crescenta Elementary Foundation held its annual Jog-a-Thon on March 10 and raised $12,600. The funds will be used to purchase computers for the library. Special thanks to Gail Richardson and Carolyn Bretz for organizing this event.

MONTE VISTA ELEMENTARY
The school’s annual carnival takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the playground. Enjoy great games and amazing food from Los Gringos Locos, the Korean Club and the Armenian Club.
The annual Family Fun Night is Friday. Community members can enjoy booth games, food, music, Karaoke, face painting, balloon animals and more. Tickets for games, balloon animals and all activities are 50 cents each. Contact the school office for more information.
The next PTA meeting is at 6:30 p.m. April 21 in the Rosemont Auditorium. Officers for next year’s board will be elected. Current officers include: President Usha Archer; vice presidents Wendy Hart, Yanira Wolcott, Christine Pehar and Dee Reik; secretaries Denise Pearson and Molly Hwang; Historian Tracey Black; Treasurer Monna Johnson and Auditor Anne Beachey–Kemp. In addition, guest speaker Pamela G. Erdman, licensed marriage, family and child therapist, will discuss bullying.
