Police on Sunday cited four motorcyclists for reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph as part of an enforcement operation aimed at rider safety, officials said.
Three motorcyclists on Sunday were cited for traveling at 105 mph on local freeways, while another rider got a ticket for hitting 106 mph, Glendale Police Sgt. Dennis Smith said.
Police officers stopped 31 motorcyclists and issued 28 citations, he said. Another two riders were cited for not having a valid California motorcycle license, and one bike was impounded, Smith added.
