Burbank's 'citrus lady' hasn't run out of juice

July 19, 2011|By Joyce Rudolph, joyce.rudolph@latimes.com

Helena David, the Burbank 'citrus lady', is still making trips to residents yards and delivering the bounty to those in need.

David’s goal this year is to pick 100,000 citrus fruits and donate them to the needy.

She says the count is up to 62,889. If you’ve got citrus trees in your yard, and can’t reach the fruit, send her a fax at (818) 846-1262. She and her husband and family will pick it, pack it and take it to BTAC or another charity.
