In La Cañada school board race, Princeton student pulls to within two votes

A 20-year-old Princeton University has pulled to within two votes of tying with a three-term incumbent for a seat on the La Cañada Unified school board, according to the latest vote tally posted on Wednesday.

With less than a week remaining until results are certified, Jeanne Broberg’s lead over Andrew Blumenfeld has shrunk to a two-vote, razor-thin margin in the hotly contested school board race, according to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder.

If Blumenfeld overtakes Broberg, he would be the youngest school board member in La Cañada Unified since the district was formed in 1961.
