Glendale Adventist set to open new facility

January 09, 2012

With the third phase of Glendale Adventist Medical Center’s West Tower in the final stages of licensing, officials on Friday celebrated the facility’s completion before the official opening.

Scheduled to start accommodating patients and their families later this month, the third phase adds 35,000 square feet of space and 60 new beds, including two new intensive care units, according to an announcement from the hospital.

Two new surgical telemetry units also will be available.

In a statement, Warren Tetz, senior vice-president of operations at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, said the additional “state-of-the-art patient treatment areas” will “better address the needs for our growing community.”
