Scattered rain showers are making for a slow-going rush hour commute this morning, but forecasters say rapidly clearing skies this evening will mark the beginning of a warm, dry week.
A two-car crash reported at about 7:30 a.m. on the northbound Interstate 5 in Burbank continues to snarl traffic through the corridor, and the southbound Glendale (2) Freeway remained stop-and-go as of 8:15 a.m.
Between 6 and 10 inches of snow could fall on local mountains in the 6,000-foot range, according to the National Weather Service.
