Daytime temperatures will climb into the 90s in some areas of Los Angeles County on Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas such as Woodland Hills, Pasadena and Saugus will reach the 90s as a high-pressure system passes through the Southland this weekend, said weather specialist Stuart Seto said. Downtown and coastal areas should see temperatures in the mid-80s while mountain regions will remain relatively cool in the 70s.
The highs will not set any records, Seto said. In 2009, downtown L.A. reached a high of 100.
But Seto warned residents not to get too comfortable, because April showers could return.
