April 19, 2012|By Charles Rich

ARCADIA — Paul Park saw some improvement with his overall game during a Pacific League match Thursday afternoon at Santa Anita Golf Course. He still wasn't completely satisfied.

"I had some pars and birdies, but my chipping was off," said Park, who shot a four-over-par 75. "I feel like I'm getting better, but I could have done better.

"At least I still know what I need to work on."

Crescenta Valley (9-9, 6-4 in league) shot a 400 to finish third in the league's third match. Host Arcadia took first with a 370 to improve to 16-0, 11-0. Burroughs finished second with a 395 to improve to 12-9, 7-5 and Burbank (7-10, 4-9) was fourth with a 420.

Crescenta Valley placed second in the league's first two matches at Brookside Golf Course No. 1 and DeBell Golf Club. On Thursday, the Falcons got a 78 from Brandon Cho and a 79 from Andrew Cho. They also got an 83 from Adrian Chia and 85 from Patrick Kallas.

Kevin Chen of Arcadia carded a 69 to earn medalist honors.

Crescenta Valley Coach John Pehar, whose team posted a 203-209 nonleague win against La Cañada on Wednesday at Brookside No. 1, said the Falcons were successful at reducing their scores with two more regular-season league matches remaining.

"With three scores in the 70s, those are good scores," said Pehar, whose team remains in second place. "It just gives them some more confidence."

Arcadia got a 73 from Andrew Baek and 76s from Bryan Shin, William Oetojo and Anthony Pidlaoan.

Burroughs received a 70 from Kelsey Danzeisen. Sean White finished with a 79 for the Indians, who got an 81 from Sivakorn Losakul, an 82 from Patrick Colbert and an 83 from Chris Kesicbasian.

Burbank received a 76 from Brady Dunayer, an 83 from Andy Chung, 86s from Kevin Chong and Roman Verciglio and an 89 from Ben Park.

Kent Asano and Sammy Do competed for Glendale. Asano finished with six pars to shoot an 87 and Do had a 90.
