It’s going to be hot, humid and potentially miserable for at least a couple more days as triple-degree temperatures continue to scorch the Burbank-Glendale region.
Highs today could hit 106 degrees, prompting the National Weather Service to issue an excessive heat warning for the area.
And it will likely be much of the same through Friday, with temperatures now not expected to settle down into the 90s until the weekend, according to the weather service.
The excessive heat warning is in effect from 11 a.m. today until 7 p.m. Thursday.
Cooling centers in Burbank and Glendale will remain in operation as public health officials continue to warn about the dangers of extreme heat and unhealthy air in the Santa Clarita and east San Gabriel valleys.
