Glendale-based DreamWorks Animation SKG has agreed to pay $155 million to purchase Classic Movies, which owns the rights to movies and television shows like "Lassie" and "Casper the Friendly Ghost." Associated Press

After 30 months with interim Police Chief Scott LaChasse, Burbank officials announced their intent to hire a permanent person in the job. LaChasse has not yet said if he plans to apply. Burbank Leader
