August 01, 2012

A 20-year-old Glendale man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly sneaked into a woman’s backyard and peered at her through a window, police said.

A neighbor spotted Michael Robertson about 9:07 p.m. running inside the woman’s barn and then jumping a wall in the 1300 block of Fairfield Street, according to Glendale police reports.

She called the woman, who immediately called police. Officers arrived to the woman’s home and found Robertson standing next to his car outside.

Robertson — who was once employed by the woman to look after her livestock and property — allegedly told police that he needed to jump around and “tried to get a peek or whatever,” according to reports.

Robertson went on to tell officers that he entered the woman’s yard two years ago to search for a lost a marble, according to police.

He posted a $5,000 bond after being arrested on suspicion of prowling and was released from jail, and is scheduled to appear Sept. 17 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Glendale, police said.
