A 59-year-old woman was arrested early Friday after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the back inside a South Glendale hotel room, police said.
The woman, Darnell Hall, was taken into custody about 12:24 a.m. on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly using a 3-inch knife to stab her 46-year-old boyfriend in his lower back, according to Glendale police reports. He was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The boyfriend hailed police down outside of Glendale Lodge in the 1500 block of East Colorado Street and pleaded for help.
Moments earlier, he told Hall that he was going to pick up some cigarettes and began leaving the motel room when she allegedly stabbed him, police said.
He told officers she carried the knife in a sheath hung around her neck.
Hall, who is a transient, allegedly claimed she stabbed him after he was aggressive during an argument whether to listen to the radio or watch TV, police said.
