Local contenders get ready for Los Angeles Area Emmys

Glendale and Burbank will be well represented at this year’s Los Angeles Area Emmys on Saturday with nominations in several categories from local television station and governmental access channels.

The Los Angeles Area Emmys will air at 5:30 p.m., well ahead of the glitzy red-carpet primetime edition, which is scheduled to be broadcast Sept. 23 on ABC.

Below is a list of the local contenders.
