A 25-year-old Glendale woman suffered cuts on her hands and knees Monday night after falling while being chased down by a man who stole her purse, police said.
The woman told police she parked her car about 10:33 p.m. in her building’s subterranean parking structure in the 100 block of West Cypress Street, when she noticed the gate had remained open.
The woman grabbed her belongings and began walking toward an exit when she saw an unfamiliar man approaching her.
As he walked toward her, she told police “something didn’t feel right,” so she began running and he followed her.
She screamed for help and ran out on to Orange Street, where she fell and dropped her purse. But she got up and ran away, leaving her purse behind.
