Fourth suspect charged in violent Glendale home invasion robbery

May 07, 2013

A 30-year-old woman is the fourth suspect to be charged in connection with a home invasion robbery in January in Glendale, police said.

April Cobb has been charged with being an accessory after the fact, according to Los Angeles County Superior Court records.

Details about her involvement in the robbery were not released because police were still investigating the incident, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

Cobb has been previously convicted of receiving stolen property and providing false information to police. She also has multiple convictions for prostitution, according to court records.

She was arrested May 1, more than a week after officers arrested the third suspect, Gino O’Neal, in Los Angeles, police said.

O’Neal, 24, along with two other men — Cole Richman, 27, and Sylas Joseph, 28 — are charged with four counts of home invasion robbery, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of burglary each, according to Los Angeles Superior Court criminal records.

Joseph and O’Neal also face one count of illegal possession of a firearm each while Richman is charged with evading an officer during a police chase.

The men allegedly brandished handguns about 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 2 as they broke in to a Glendale home in the 700 block of Patterson Avenue, which was occupied by three men and a woman.

The trio robbed the residents at gunpoint and beat another one, police said.

Richman and Joseph were arrested at the scene after their vehicle crashed at Concord Street and Wilson Avenue while O’Neal was able to evade a police perimeter, police said.
