iPhone stolen at gunpoint

July 11, 2013

A group of thieves reportedly held a 20-year-old Glendale man at gunpoint this week and stole his iPhone, police said.

The man reported the theft two hours after it happened Monday, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

It happened when he was walking at about 7:45 p.m. from a friend’s home on Louise Street and Lexington Avenue. One of five or six men who surrounded him brandished a handgun and demanded cash, Lorenz said.

The man didn’t have cash, so he gave them his iPhone S4. The men then struck and kicked the victim before fleeing on foot.

He described the men all being 6 feet tall, 20 years old and wearing dark clothing.
