Community: Auxiliary creates holiday centerpieces

November 12, 2013|By Joyce Rudolph

Members of Los Altos Auxiliary are selling floral centerpieces for the Thanksgiving holiday with all proceeds benefiting the boys, ages 6 to 18, who reside at the Hathaway-Sycamores El Nido residential treatment facility in Altadena.

“Each centerpiece, which is delivered to your door just in time for the holiday, is handcrafted with the freshest materials from the L.A. Flower Mart and is sure to add a seasonal touch to your holiday table,” said Sue Perry, co-chairwoman.

The Harvest-styled centerpiece is an arrangement of evergreens, eucalyptus, fresh flowers and fall foliage, with fruit and vegetables as accent, in a basket, measuring approximately 16 inches by 13 inches. A centerpiece is $75 and order deadline is Nov. 15 for delivery on Nov. 25 to homes in La Crescenta, Glendale and other local cities. Quantities are limited and orders will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
