St. Francis 190, Crescenta Valley 208: The Golden Knights picked up a nonleague victory Thursday at Brookside Golf Course No. 1. Michael Finny had an even-par 36 for St. Francis, which got a 37 from Johnny Brandt, a 38 from Joe Sarni and 39 from Stian Lintvedt . Paul Park had a 39 to lead the Falcons.

Flintridge Prep 243, Temple City 256: Jonah Sacks had a six-over-par 42 on Thursday for the host Rebels (2-0) in a nonleague match.



Hoover 12, Burroughs 6: The visiting Tornadoes posted a Pacific League road win Thursday. Hoover (3-3, 2-1 in league) got a sweep in doubles from Danny Kim and Artur Arutunyan (6-1, 6-0, 6-1). Emile Ohanyan won two sets (6-0, 6-0) for Hoover.

St. Francis 11, Hart 7: St. Francis started its season Wednesday with a nonleague win.


Oxnard Pacifica 5, Glendale 4 (eight innings): The Nitros fell to 1-2 on the season with Thursday’s nonleague loss, as both Nitros defeats have come by one run.

Sean Harris had three doubles and Thad Wilson had three hits.

On Wednesday, the Nitros defeated Garfield, 5-3, to notch their first victory of the season and the first under Alan Eberhart.

Brandon Keen had a pair of hits in the win, Eric Winner had a key double and Jav Aguayo got the victory.

Golden Valley 7, Hoover 3: Jonathan Ramos finished with two hits Thursday for the host Tornadoes (2-1) in a Southern California Invitational Tournament contest.

Northview 5, Crescenta Valley 0: The Falcons fell to 1-1 on the season with Thursday night’s nonleague loss at Stengel Field.


Crescenta Valley 11, Hacienda Heights Wilson 0 (five innings): Olivia Thayer had a home run and three runs batted in at the plate and threw three no-hit innings, while striking out seven in Thursday’s lopsided road victory.

The Falcons (1-1) also got home runs from Hannah Cookson and Taylor Hill, with Hill driving in five runs and scoring two. Rachel Abboud also had two hits, a run and RBI and Adela Alatraca threw two scoreless innings of relief.

Marlborough 7, Glendale 6: Freshman catcher Tiffany Bartamian had two home runs in her high school debut, as the Nitros rallied from six runs down to tie it at 6 in the fifth, but eventually fell in their season opener on Thursday.

Sierra Canyon 6, Flintridge Prep 5: Kyla Bradley and Drew Montgomery each had two hits and one stolen base Thursday for the host Rebels (2-1) in a nonleague game. The Rebels earned a 5-2 win against Rowland on Wednesday.
