Crescenta Valley Briefs: Equestrian nonprofit fundraiser, documentary screening, search for Waldo

Valley View Vaulters, a local nonprofit equestrian club, will host an all-day fundraiser on Tuesday at Cordon’s Smokehouse & Grill, 2931 Honolulu Ave.

At the event, 10% of all receipts for the day will go toward benefiting the organization, which teaches the art of gymnastics on horseback. For more information, call (818) 957-0309.

Join producer John Newcombe for a free screening of his documentary, “The Trails of La Cañada Flintridge,” at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd.

In honor of National Library Week, youngsters can search for Waldo from 1 to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Saturday at the Montrose Library, 2465 Honolulu Ave. Kids can follow clues and win prizes during the free activity. For more information call (818) 548-2048.

Free Easter egg hunts will be held at 10 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave. Kids can also get photos taken with the Easter Bunny, and there will be plenty of free candy.

A free e-waste recycling event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Valley View Elementary School, 3333, Foothill Blvd. Most electronics such as computers, monitors, TVs, phones, computer parts, laptops, cameras and DVD players will be accepted at no cost.
