Amber Willard The following incidents were taken from police reports. 1500 block of Colorado Street: A 23-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of carrying concealed weapons. The man, who was carrying a switchblade knife, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and officers found a baseball bat in the car's trunk, police said. 900 block of East Dryden Street: A man told police someone stole his 1989 Chevrolet Caprice on Thursday.

Gretchen Hoffman GLENDALE -- Glendale Police are looking for suspects in three armed robberies over the weekend. Four men in a black Lexus asked another driver for directions at about 11:10 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Verdugo Boulevard and Wilson Avenue, police said. When the driver pulled to the curb to reply, one of the men held a gun to his head and demanded money and his car, police said. He handed over his cash and said he wouldn't give them the car and the men drove off, police said.

The following information was taken from police reports: Colorado Street and Verdugo Road: A 37-year-old Baldwin Park man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and a mini-baseball bat, which is considered a weapon. Dunsmore Avenue and Foothill Boulevard: A Lakeview Terrace man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of possessing burglary tools. 400 block of Piedmont Drive: A 57-year-old Pasadena man reported Saturday that he went to Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills to pick up his deceased aunt's possessions, and diamonds were missing from her ring, worth $2,000.

A Glendale man convicted of assault with a deadly weapon died in county jail while serving a one-year sentence, officials said. Ronald Phillips, 22, died Sunday while in custody, but the cause of his death is not yet established, said Lt. David Smith in the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. The coroner's office has ordered additional testing, Smith said. A supervisor at the county inmate information line confirmed Phillips died while in custody, but could not identify in which facility he was housed.

Two men were arrested near McCambridge Park in Burbank Sunday night after an alleged altercation with a baseball bat that began when one man allegedly scratched the side of the other's car, police said. At about 11 p.m. Sunday, John Sibala, 24, was sitting in his car in front of his home on the 1200 block of Scott Road talking to his girlfriend when Gahren Moradian, 21, allegedly began scratching the side of the car, Burbank Police Sgt. Thor Merich said. “The victim gets out of the car and starts chasing the suspect,” Thor said.

Colorado St.: A 35-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested Monday on suspicion of taking clothing from JC Penney without paying.
