Gary Moskowitz Ted Hubert, a 1935 Hoover High School graduate and World War II veteran, will be honored as an American hero today at the school's homecoming football game. Hubert's visit is part of the school's 75th anniversary celebration this year. Co-principal Kevin Welsh will introduce Hubert to the crowd at the 3:30 p.m. game at Ferguson Field at the school, 651 Glen- wood Road. Hoover will play against Pasadena's Blair High School. The game is open to the public.

GROUP CELEBRATES 90TH BIRTHDAYS The reunion committee of the Hoover High School Class of 1937 met at the home of Tom French to celebrate the fact that all 11 have now reached the age of 90. Four of the group are 91. They have not organized a class reunion for many years as the number of class members has dwindled. However, committee members continue to meet for lunch every three months in Glendale and remain close friends. Those attending were Helen ?Young? Ostendorf, Tom French, Clara Mae ?

Gary Moskowitz Going to Hoover High School after the Great Depression was a fun time for Betty Reilly Coffey. The 1937 Hoover graduate said tough economic times actually helped bring local high school students together at that time. Coffey got her chance to talk about the good old days Saturday during Hoover High School's 75th Anniversary and All-Class Reunion. "We have stuck together through thick and thin over the years," Coffey said. "It's because we care about each other and have compassion for each other.

RITA PARDUE- FALLMAN Lee Briggs, a Mark Keppel Elementary School parent, invites everyone to an exciting time at the theater presented by the Stepping Stone Players in their production of the Tony Award-winning musical, "Annie," running weekends through Sept. 21 at Hoover High School Auditorium. Curtain times are at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $10. Major credit cards are accepted on all phone orders. Due to the past generous funding from the Glendale Kiwanis, the city of Glendale and the Glendale Community Foundation, the players continue to provide American Sign Language interpretation for the deaf.

Gary Moskowitz Cleo Cox Davidson has compiled a list of about 17 people she'd sure love to see again. The 1936 Hoover High School graduate began putting the list together the minute she got word of Hoover's 75th anniversary celebration. The school's alumni association will host a party and all-class reunion May 15 on the school's athletic field. Davidson not only graduated from Hoover in 1936, she also was named Miss Glendale the same year, at the age of 17. "I hope with all my heart that I get to see once more the kids I used to love to be with so much," Davidson said.
