The following information was taken from police reports: 1000 block of East Broadway: A Glendale woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. 400 block of East Cypress Avenue: A Glendale girl reported Tuesday a man exposed himself as she walked home from school. Central Avenue and Acacia Avenue: A Glendale man and Burbank man were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana and methamphetamines.

Amber Willard DOWNTOWN -- Glendale Police are investigating a robbery in which a man stole a woman's purse from her grasp just outside the Glendale Galleria. The woman had just walked out of J.C. Penney at 1 p.m. Monday when she was approached by a man who tried to pull her purse from her by the shoulder strap, police said. The woman struggled for her purse but was overpowered by the robber, she told police. The man, carrying the purse, ran south toward Colorado Street, according to police reports.

SOUTHWEST GLENDALE — Two Glendale residents were killed Thursday night after their car veered off the Colorado Street offramp from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway, authorities said. The 21-year-old male driver apparently exited the freeway at about 9 p.m. Thursday at a high rate of speed and lost control of his 2009 Nissan Altima. The car eventually struck a tree, killing himself and his 18-year-old female passenger, said California Highway Patrol Officer Andre Primeaux.

LOS ANGELES -- An unidentified woman fell 50 feet into the Los Angeles River after she was ejected from her vehicle Friday morning following a collision on the Colorado Street interchange near the Golden State (5) Freeway. The woman lost control of her Mercedes sedan while exiting eastbound off the freeway at an "unknown rate" of speed, crossed over a raised median and was struck on the passenger side by a westbound delivery truck shortly before 8 a.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Derrick Peterson said.

Woman sentenced for hit-and-run A Glendale woman was sentenced Wednesday to serve a year in jail and three years? probation for striking a man as he walked to his parked car while driving drunk, police said. Esther Zepeda-Ortiz, 27, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence of alcohol and causing injury, leaving the scene of an accident, battery on an officer and driving on a suspended license on May 4 when she struck Arbi Markousian as he was entering his parked car on Colorado Street, police said.

Glendale Galleria: A man told police someone stole his car stereo and speakers while the car was in a parking structure Thursday.

Claudia Peschiutta GLENDALE -- The man who died in a fiery car accident on Colorado Street was identified by authorities Tuesday as Hansel Jonathan Diaz. The 25-year-old Los Angeles man was pronounced dead Monday evening at the scene of a head-on collision on the Colorado offramp of the Golden State (5) Freeway, officials said. Diaz was a passenger in the Chevrolet Camaro that was driving on the Colorado onramp Monday afternoon when it crossed over the low center divider, crashed into an oncoming Chevrolet pickup truck and was soon engulfed in flames, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

Man escapes during foot chase NORTHEAST GLENDALE -- A routine traffic stop ended in a foot chase, with one man getting away and the arrest of a Canyon Country woman suspected of possessing syringes without a prescription, police said. Glendale Police pulled over a white Toyota Celica at about 1:55 a.m. Wednesday on Colorado Street, east of the Glendale (2) Freeway, because the car had no license plates, according to the police report. Officers asked a man in the front passenger seat to step out of the car, and he began trying to swallow something officers believed to be heroin.
